Hugo Porta, Argentina's IRB delegate, believes the Pumas should push for Six Nations inclusion this month, while in a separate development the country will finally adopt professionalism.

The integrated season will be discussed at an IRB forum on the game in London this month and Argentina, after their third place finish at the World Cup, must be found a home.

While Sanzar\'s Tri-Nations have been mentioned, Pumas great Porta said after discussions with the coach and players, he believed the northern hemisphere was the better option for this crucial move on the global scene.

\"They and we think it\'s more viable ... because that is where most of the Argentine players play,\" AP reported Porta as saying.

He is obviously an infuential character and reflective of his country\'s preference.

Argentina will state their case at the London meeting, clearly fearing the inactivity that has surrounded the IRB\'s dealings on this issue in the past. They want to immediately capitalise on their cup success.

\"We need to make this presentation,\" said Argentina rugby secretary Raul Sanz.

\"We cannot wait until March or April next year. That would be reckless to let the months pass without decisions because the rugby world is waiting for us.\"

Barcelona or Brussels were mentioned as possible bases for them in Europe where more than 400 Argentines play.

Meanwhile, those playing in Argentina are finally about to see the game go professional.

The UAR will hold a special meeting on December 28 to include professional rugby.
